Trichoderma harzianum is a potent biocontrol agent effective against soil borne diseases. Developed by ICAR-IISR in Kozhikode, Kerala, this advanced encapsulation technology facilitates easy application. It is primarily used to enrich Farm Yard Manure (FYM).

Details:

  • Trichoderma promotes plant growth, boosts defense mechanisms and directly combats pathogen, resulting in better crop health and yield.
  • Trichoderma protects crops from soil borne pathogens.
  • Trichoderma colonizes root surface and penetrates root tissues, enhancing both shoot and root growth.

Suggestions:

  • One capsule enriches 100 Kg of Farm Yard Manure.
  • Place one capsule in a liter of boiled and cooled water for 24 hours. Mix thoroughly and apply to 100 Kg of FYM.
  • Apply the mixture at least three times at regular intervals, particularly during seedling stage, vegetative growth and reproductive phase.
